Each piece of jewellery is hand crafted through many different processes. Lost Wax Casting is a traditional technique which results in a high quality and highly detailed piece of heirloom jewellery. Each piece of totally unique Next to my Heart Jewellery is created using a carefully taken impression of your loved ones fingerprint. Each impression is totally unique and captures all the shape of the finger and all the unique fingerprint details and wrinkles. 

Some fingerprints are faint and some are incredibly detailed. I will always endeavor to get the best and most detailed fingerprint impression for you. 

The significance of Fingerprints

Our fingerprints are so very special and totally unique. They are formed before we are born whilst in our mothers womb and do not change throughout our whole lives. I feel strongly that my memorial jewellery with a loved ones actual fingerprint impression has a beautiful significance that is truly special. The hand we held, the mark a person leaves on our world, a loved ones uniqueness; all these things are bound within each piece of jewellery giving comfort and connection.
